IAS: Accounts Production data not pulling through to Business Tax- Empty Tax Comp etc – Warning ‘Account Totals’

Problem
The amounts from Accounts Production are not pulling through to Tax Computation within Business Tax.
Resolution
You may get a pop up ‘! Account Totals’ in BT which means it cant find the AP data or similar.
Please do the following steps to resolve this issue in Business Tax: –
- Top left of BT – find the ‘CLIENT ID’ code – and compare it to Accounts Production ‘CLIENT ID’ code- if they do not match then you could on a different client. Go to Client and select and find the correct AP ID and load it in BT. This specific Client ID is needed (and not the company name next to the ID)
- Go to Client in the top left-hand corner
- View
- Please check the Trading: Commenced date is entered correctly
- If there is a Ceased date entered – remove this date
- Click save and close
Once all the above is completed and the figures are correct on the CT600 and Tax computation. You can enter the ceased date back in if there was one. You can continue to generate the Electronic Tax return.
THEN Go to Edit in the top left-hand corner | Posting – in the top part of the table, there should only be one posting entry.
- If there is two posting entries
- Highlight the irrelevant posting entry and delete it
PLEASE NOTE: – THIS WILL DELETE ANY POSTINGS RELATED TO THE ENTRY so check first you keep notes of those entries etc
