How to use Data Screen Defaults?

Resolution

Data Screen Defaults can be applied by the Master user via Setup | Data Screen Defaults The default values for the above different levels can all be amended accordingly here. The items that can be set are mainly relating to small companies exemptions, FRSSE options, optional notes and accounting policies. Chart Select the Enhanced chart which the data screen defaults are to be set for. This option takes the user to the data screen defaults for the selected chart, it is here data screens be changed to affect all clients attached to the selected chart. Example If the user did not want to refer to un-audited on the fly sheet for all clients (i.e All clients attached to the chart being changed), the user enters Flysheet / Refer to “Audited”/”Unaudited” and un-ticks the refer to unaudited option. Note: Any defaults set are included for a client when a bring forward is run for a new year. Items are not automatically applied to a year that has been completed or is in progress. If data is not brought forward, defaults can be issued by selecting Edit | Data Screens whilst in a client, then selecting Edit | Apply New Data Screen Values. Partner Select the partner which the data screen defaults are to be set for. Clients need to have the selected partner as the partner responsible for the defaults to apply. Practice Select practice to set defaults for all clients on enhanced charts. Defaults entered will not affect historical data. Please Note: Any defaults set will be used whenever a new client is created or will be included for a client when a bring forward is run for a new year. (Items are not automatically applied to a year that has been completed or is in progress). Bring Forward Client Data -When a bring forward is run fields are completed from the first occurrence of data in the following list: Any applicable item from the previous year Chart level default Partners default Practice default IRIS issued default
