How to fill box 1 on page TR 3.

Pre 2017 – Users are required to: 1. Log on to IRIS Personal Tax and select client. 2. Select Interest, select one of the following: NSB Accounts, UK Bank, Building Society, Local Authority, Other Deposit Taker, Distribution from UK Unit Trust. 3. Click New and enter the interest received. For 2017 and after no tax is required or calculated by IRIS. Therefore you are using IRIS figures then the nothing will show in box 1 TR 3. However if you override the tax deducted amount in any of the sections above, then the figures will show in box 1 TR 3.
