Cannot send an email to multiple addresses

Resolution

When a user goes to send a document as an attachment on an email, they highlight and select multiple email addresses to be sent to. When they click send, only 1 of the addresses receives the email. They will receive it multiple times, depending on how many email addresses were selected.

IRIS Practice Management was not designed to be able to select multiple email addresses against 1 email. The ability to select multiple email addresses is a defect and as such, will no longer be allowed in the April release (v22.1) of IRIS Accountancy Suite.

If you wish to email a document to multiple addresses (against a client record) please follow these steps:

  1. Open IRIS Practice Management.
  2. Click Launch | select Client Lookup.
  3. Highlight the client and select View.
  4. Go into the Communications tab.
  5. Right click on the letter and select Action:Email.
  6. Select the correct email address at the top, input the contents of the email and click Send.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other email addresses.
