Problem
It has been identified that when trying to open the PTP Launcher some users may receive the following error
'Failed to initialise application properties '.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1'
then
'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'
The cause is a broken 'ptp_userconfig.xml' file located in the PTP program folder. Users will need to do one of the following:
Resolution
1. Remove this file from the PTP install folder (default location C:\PTP) and copy the same file from another PC that has PTP is installed on to the broken installation PC
2. Contact PTP Support who can supply the required file
