PTP - How to send an amended tax return where the original was submitted through PTP

When a tax return was submitted and accepted through the PTP software is it possible to send an amended return online?

It is possible, however amendments made more than 12 months after the online filing deadline for that tax year must be submitted on paper.

Please see instructions below for filing amended tax returns:

1. First Remove the FBI status
   Select the FBI icon
   Set the Year of submission option to the relevant tax year
   Change FBI Status to ‘Returns Accepted by Revenue’
   Highlight the relevant client and click the Remove FBI Status button.
   
2. The return can now be amended as necessary and refiled in the normal way. 
   
3. Please ensure that the box for an Amended return is ticked at the top right of the FBI Attachments screen, which opens when selecting the client in FBI.
