Problem
A company has ceased trading, how can this be entered within the software
Resolution
Open the CT return period.
Go to page 2 and select the fanned pages at box 155.
The Adjustment to Profit screen will appear. At the top left, tick the box to state that the ‘trade ceased in this period’.
Close the adjustment to profit screen, then select the fanned page once again at box 155 to re-enter. This refreshes the page.
Scroll to the bottom of the adjustment to profit screen, to Net CAs and select the grey square box adjacent to it.
The capital allowances grid will appear.
Select the Pooled tab.
At the bottom, tick the box that the trade has ceased.
