IRIS Personal Tax- Property income not matching on Summary/Tax comp/Smarttax

Resolution

When you have property income with expenses but it dosnt match either from the Summary screen(at the top), the Smarttax on the right or in the Tax comp. eg there’s a different value on 1 or more of those: see below the £9870 shows but smarttax shows £10,000

1.Open UK land and property

2. UK Property allowance and Property income allowance tab

3. If it has been ticked to claim the allowance – enter the amount eg £1000 (you need to manually enter the amount, PT will not enter the value in for you). If you do not want to enter the value you MUST untick the Claim allowance.

If ticked then enter the claim like this:

4. Now the Summary/Tax comp/Smarttax screen will all now match. If the expenses are missing etc then read the HMRC rules here on the KB:
