Trust tax return submission being treated as 2022 - Rejection error 5015
Resolution
It has been reported that in some cases when attempting to submit a 2023 Trust Tax Return, a ‘rejection error 5015’ (return already submitted) is being displayed.
This rejection is due to the 2023 trust return xml file being submitted incorrectly, stating 2022 as the tax year. HMRC are therefore treating it as a 2022 return. This issue only affects 2023 Trust Tax returns.
This issue has been fixed in version 23.1.231 (or later) which is available here https://www.iris.co.uk/support/ptp-software-support/downloads/.We strongly advise that you do not submit any 2023 Trust Tax returns until the fixed version has been installed.
