IRIS Spring 2026 service pack
Overview
The IRIS Accountancy Suite Spring service pack release version 26.1.10.60 includes several fixes to resolve issues recently identified by customers.
IRIS Accounts Production
EXR Report – Average Number of Employees Showing Incomplete Data
We have resolved an issue where the EXR report for Average Number of Employees did not display values correctly when run for both the current and prior year simultaneously. When employee figures included a mix of positive and negative values, numbers following a positive value were not shown. Running for individual years was unaffected. The report now displays all values correctly for both single-year and comparative runs.
Net Medical Income Note – Incorrect Prior Year Partner Balances (EMED)
We have resolved an issue in EMED partnership accounts where, if a partner’s personal expenses were posted but the non-disclosure option was selected, the prior year balances shown in the Share of Net Medical Income note were overstated by the amount of those personal expenses. Current year figures were correct. The prior year balance calculation now correctly excludes non-disclosed partner personal expenses across both years.
IRIS Company Secretarial
LLCS01 – LLP Confirmation Statement Submission Error
We have resolved an issue where submitting an LLCS01 for an LLP whose members are all corporate entities and all designated members resulted in an XML validation error: ‘The element VerificationStatement has incomplete content. List of possible elements expected: Director, Member.’ Submissions for these LLPs now complete successfully.
VS01 – Verification Forms Incorrectly Generated for Resigned PSCs
We have resolved an issue where VS01 identity verification forms were being generated for PSCs who had resigned from a company. This occurred because the PSC remained linked to other active companies. The software now correctly suppresses VS01 generation for any PSC with a resigned status on the relevant company.
CS01 – Confirmation Statement Element Invalid on Submission
We are resolving an issue where CS01 submissions were rejected with the XML validation error: ‘The Confirmation Statement element is not declared.’ Additionally, following a recent update, the confirmation statement date was not showing and Part 4 was not appearing when expected.
CS01 PDF – Class of Share Missing from Prescribed Particulars Part 2 – B2
We have resolved an issue where the Class of Share (share type) field was absent from the Prescribed Particulars main section (Part 2 – B2) in the CS01 (v7) PDF, for companies with multiple share classes. Continuation pages and Part 4 were not affected. The PDF now correctly displays the Class of Share field on all Part 2 – B2 pages.
IRIS Personal Tax
Updates have been made for the latest Dividends data in the product for the 2025/26 tax year.
Resolved issue:
The ‘Dividends that you received from this Close Company’ field in the Employment – Earnings screen was not accepting a value of £0.00, preventing box 7.3 from being populated and triggering an incorrect validation error “Close Company [EMP7.3] must be present if [SA102:Was this company a close company] equals ‘yes’”.
Making Tax Digital (MTD)
Resolved issues:
Sole Trade
Significant stability and reliability improvements have been made to Sole Trade workflows. Managing accounting periods, importing data, and submitting quarterly returns is now smoother and more consistent, including better handling of CIS Deductions and HMRC obligation retrieval for new clients.
Submissions & Declarations
The final submission and amendment processes have been refined to ensure the correct data is sent to HMRC every time. Confirmation and amendment workflows now behave as expected, reducing the need for manual intervention.
Capital Gains & Property
Capital Gains submissions — including Residential Properties and Other Capital Gains — are now more reliable, with improved validation and consistent formatting across drill-down screens. For Property users, we’ve updated the UK Property CSV import template to align with current PTAX categories, improved income splitting for jointly held Foreign Properties, and resolved stability issues affecting Foreign Property for TY 2026.
Data Accuracy & Display
Data accuracy across DTH screens has been improved, ensuring HMRC-selected values display correctly and that sections only appear when relevant data exists. Several label and formatting inconsistencies have been tidied up across the platform, including the BSAS and Pension Charges screens.
IRIS Business Tax
Resolved issue:
Updates have been made to IRIS Business Tax in order to correctly calculate the PAYE Cap when making a RDEC claim. Previously, Box L75 was displaying the PAYE cap amount used by the RDEC claim instead of the full calculated PAYE cap based on applicable PAYE/NIC liabilities.
IRIS P11D
Resolved issue:
Updates have been made to the P11D Loan benefit calculator to correct the interest rate for 2025/26.
IRIS Practice Management
Resolved issues:
Email – £ Symbol Encoding Corrected in Sent Emails – where emails containing the £ symbol were sending the characters £ in their place. This affected emails sent via Communications and the test email in Email Links.
Email – £ Symbol Encoding Corrected in View Email (HTML Editor) – encoding issue where the £ symbol displayed as £ in the View Email window when using the HTML editor in the Comms Tracking view.
Email – HTML Tags Displaying in Comms Tab Instead of Rendered Text – where opening an email record within the Comms tab showed the raw HTML markup of the email body rather than the properly rendered text. This affected readability for end users.
Email – Unable to Send via Right-Click Action: Email – where sending emails from Practice Management using the right-click action: email option resulted in emails being sent in HTML format with no attachment included. This occurred even after the email spacing hotfix had been applied. Emails sent via this method now send in the correct format with attachments included.
Jobs – Practice Management Closing When Completing a Recurring Job – where Practice Management closed without an error after completing a recurring job and responding to the ‘Create new job recurrence for next period’ prompt. The job was completing and creating the recurrence correctly, but the application then closed unexpectedly. This occurred from the Jobs tab in the Staff Control Panel, the Jobs tab in Client Maintenance, and the Job Planning screen. Practice Management no longer closes after completing a recurring job.
Jobs – Quarterly Interval Not Updating to COMPLETED After Stage Completion – where completing a job stage on a quarterly-interval job did not update the interval status to show COMPLETED [dd/mm/yyyy USERID] as expected. The interval status now updates correctly upon job stage completion.
Documents – Instance of Word Not Running Error – where generating documents produced an ‘Instance of Word not running’ error. Document generation now works as expected.
Data Mining – Main Contact Showing Against Billing Contact – where clients with separate main and billing contacts were showing the main contact details in the Billing Contact fields within Data Mining. This affected forename and all other billing contact fields. Billing contact fields in Data Mining now correctly show the designated billing contact.
IRIS Time
Resolved issues:
Time Ledger – Repair Causing Application to Freeze – where a corrupted Time Ledger caused the application to crash and close. Subsequently attempting to run a repair also caused the program to freeze and crash. The repair process now completes successfully.
Billing Analysis – Job Manager Showing Client Manager Value – where the Job Manager field in the Billing Analysis report was incorrectly displaying the Client Manager value from the Categories tab of the Client record, rather than the Job Manager assigned on the View/New Job window in Practice Management. The report now correctly shows the Job Manager value.
