Problem
How do I enter goodwill as a capital allowance?
Resolution
Users are required to: 1. From the Edit menu, select Capital Allowances, Option A – Maintain Assets. 2. Select Insert Asset. 3. Use the spy glass next to ‘Asset category’ to select ‘502’ OR ‘503 Patents and licences’, enter Goodwill as the description. 4. Complete the other appropriate fields, click OK, Click Close.
How to enter Goodwill 6.5%? Edit | Capital Allowances | A – maintain asset – use category 502 | C – maintain Asset – manually restrict the WDA to 6.5%
