In version 23.4 the charge rate reverts to default when closing & re-opening timesheets

In version 23.4 of IRIS Accountancy Suite it has been identified that if the charge rate on a posting in a Timesheet is changed, once the time sheet is closed and re-opened, the charge rate reverts to the staff user’s default charge rate.

There will be a hot-fix release to resolve the issue, version 23.4.2.
Any time postings that were made while the issue was present, and that have been applied to the ledger, will need to be corrected via a contra posting and then re-posted with General Adjustments. Guidance on General Adjustments can be found here.

You can use the WIP Items Client report to review individual time postings to see if the wrong charge rate was used.
You will need to include the charge rate column on this report. To do this, when running the report via Reports | Client reports | WIP Items | under the Columns tab tick the Charge Rate column to include it.

This hot-fix will reinstate an issue with charge rates not returning to the default rate when using work types. Please see here for the full details.

Please note that in the hot-fix release the charge rates reverting issue will still be present on the Original Timesheet View.
We recommend you workaround this by changing to the Grid Timesheet view.

To enable the Grid Timesheet view:

• Open IRIS Time.
• Click Options and select My Preferences.
• Place a tick next to Use Grid Timesheet screens.
• Click OK.
