What’s new in Staffology Payroll: summer 2025 update
Updated 15th September 2025 | 3 min read Published 29th August 2025
While summer may be coming to an end, things are just starting to heat up in Staffology Payroll.
Our team has been hard at work, upgrading and updating the system functionality.
In this blog, I’ve covered some of the recent updates, highlighting the changes and what they mean for you.
Payslip scheduling
Staffology Payroll now has a new option to schedule payslips.
Users have the option to release payslips when they’re finalised or to schedule the releases.
When scheduling payslips, you can choose up to five days prior to payment day, whether that’s a working day or a calendar date, in addition to selecting the time at which they’ll be released.
Export/import employee payment deductions + update existing benefits via imports
With our new import, you’ll be able to create and update employee payment deductions, reducing the need for manual intervention.
The logic of the import is based on a unique identifier, updating the existing pay line, if one already exists.
This means you can easily update aspects like salaries and add additional benefits, such as a car allowance.
Users now also have the ability to create and update existing benefits – the import follows the same logic, using unique identifiers.
Resend payments to external payment providers
Staffology Payroll users now have the ability to repost payments.
If you choose to use one of our payment connectors, you can send the file once again if there are any validation or sort code errors on your first upload.
Bulk EYFPS submissions
Following the latest update, you can now select multiple employees when conducting an EYFPS submission, making the process much more efficient.
New pension/bank outputs
In Staffology payroll, we support many pension providers, and in the latest update, we’ve now added Aegon Smart Enrol.
Similarly, we have also added additional bank formats, including JP Morgan and Virgin Money.
Employee age display
This update was highly requested in our Ideas Portal: Employee Age Display.
The latest update now displays an employee’s age alongside their date of birth, so you can quickly see the information at a glance.
