IRIS Software Group Enhances Cloud Accounting Suite with new Charity Capabilities
IRIS Elements updates help practices save time, reduce manual work, and serve the complex reporting needs of charities
London, December 4, 2025: IRIS Software Group (IRIS), today announced the launch of new Charity Accounts Functionality within IRIS Elements, bringing advanced cloud capabilities to one of the most complex areas of financial reporting. The updates to its flagship cloud accountancy platform gives accountancy firms the tools to support charitable organisations with greater accuracy, efficiency, and confidence as they navigate evolving compliance requirements and the shift to Making Tax Digital (MTD).
The new capabilities within IRIS Elements integrate seamlessly with existing workflows to save time, reduce administrative burdens, and enhance compliance. Additionally, the update delivers a comprehensive range of customisable reports designed for Trustees, Independent Examiners, and auditors, each compatible with new regulations coming into effect with the introduction of MTD, ensuring organisations are fully prepared for future digital submissions to Companies House and HMRC.
“Designed with direct input from accountants, these enhancements reflect our commitment to delivering a seamless, customer-centric experience for practices supporting diverse and often complex client portfolios,” said Eva Mrazikova, Senior Director at IRIS Accountancy, “Charity reporting is uniquely demanding, and this new functionality is designed specifically to address that complexity for accounting firms, helping them streamline workflows and reducing compliance risks. Our focus, as always, is on delivering solutions that make a real difference for accountants and the clients they serve.”
Additional FRS 101 reporting capabilities and advanced iXBRL Editor added
The IRIS Elements Enterprise edition now includes dedicated FRS 101 support for medium and large companies using this simplified reporting framework. Both Professional and Enterprise levels also feature industry-leading iXBRL tagging capabilities. The editor allows precise tagging of financial statements, with an integrated issue log that reduces the risk of submission rejections at Companies House or HMRC.
With these enhancements, IRIS continues to invest in cloud innovation that helps accountants scale efficiently, strengthen client relationships, and deliver consistent value across every client type.
