What is GDPR?
The GDPR legislation aims to update the rules on data protection and to harmonise the level of protection across the EU regarding the privacy of the personal data. The EU wants to give control back to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.
The GDPR regulations were added to British law with the Data Protection Act 2018 which came into force on 25 May 2018.
At IRIS we are keen to ensure all practices comply with the new regulations. We have taken steps within our products to assist with your compliance of the data protection regulations.
