Companies House ID Verification

Companies House are launching a new ID verification service for the following individual relationships:

–Directors
–PSC
–LLP Members

The relationships require an IDV code for verification purposes. The IDV code can be obtained directly by the individual using a self-serve method using gov.uk one login or if they are registered as a ACSP with Companies House, they can verify the individual and then an IDV code will be issued to the individual.
Launch date – 18^th November 2025

Companies House New IDV Code field

The new IDV code field is displayed in Personal Client Maintenance. Alpha Numeric characters allowed and the code has a max character length of 11.
This is a mandatory field for the following forms

–(LL)AP01

–(LL)PSC01

–(LL)IN01

–(LL)CS01

Companies House New Verification Statement

New verification statement option for the following individual relationships:

–Directors
–PSC
–LLP Members

This is displayed in the director/member/PSC entry screen and is enabled once IDV code has been entered.

This is a mandatory field for the following forms

–(LL)AP01

–(LL)PSC01

–(LL)IN01

–(LL)CS01

Effective date does not affect the form version used. E.g. if the user generates an AP01 post launch date 18^th November 2025 however the effective date is before the launch date, the new form will be generated and IDV changes will be required.

•New form allowing existing PSCs created prior 18^th November launch date to submit IDV details

•This is not an official Companies House form. Cannot be paper filed.

•Submission is electronically only

•Event/form triggered by entering IDV code for an existing PSC

•New section D5 and D6 for Directors IDV details and verification statement

•New section I5 and I6 for PSC IDV details and verification statement

•Registers removed from wizard step

•New authentication statements (compulsory)

•New section B5 and B6 for Members IDV details and verification statement

•Registers removed from wizard step

•New authentication statements (compulsory)

•New CS01 form version 6.0

•New Part 6 Directors IDV details and verification statement

•Incorporated date MUST be entered to generated the form

•New logic – If Incorporated date is before 18/11/2025 then use new form (v6.0)
If incorporation date is after 18/11/2025 then use old form

LLCS01

•New LLCS01 form version 5.0

•New part 2 Members IDV details and verification statement

•Incorporated date MUST be entered to generated the form

•New logic – If Incorporated date is before 18/11/2025 then use new form (v5.0)
If incorporation date is after 18/11/2025 then use old form

Company and PSC Statements

•Only 1 Company Statement enabled

•2 PSC Statements combined into 1 new PSC Statement

•Affects PSC08 and PSC09

•Section 5 will not be supported for the PSC09

PSC Identity Verification Reporting

•Shows all PSCs for every client

•Searched by birth month of PSCs

•Also allowed to search for PSCs without date of birth

•See following details

–Client ID

–Client name

–IDV code

–date of birth

–Business name and ID associated with PSC

–IDV submission status to Companies House

•Administration > PSC Identity Verification Reporting

Location of Records – Permanently disabled

•Register of members – Only Companies House option will be disabled
