Problem
Why am I recieving an exception report regarding Principal Activity when generating an iXBRL report? "The trading status of the entity has been set as 'trading' however a principal activity has not been entered within the Principal Activity data screen. Please enter a principal activity"
Resolution
Principal Activity is a mandatory iXBRL item for HMRC.
Although principal activity isn’t required within disclosure, Accounts Production will require you to enter the principal activity within the data screens in order to populate a tag.
By entering a principal activity within the data screen this should not require that it has to be included in the Report of the Directors.
Please ensure the ‘tick box’ is unticked if you would prefer not to disclose the principal activity details.
