Problem
Trial Balance is out of balance due to Non-Contributing Totals. On the Enhanced Chart Clients Trial Balance NOT balancing, posting have been made to the relevant Account Codes BUT they have * next to the item and indicate at the bottom of the TB it's a Non-Contributing Total.
Resolution
Check the Business type, by going into: Client | View.
For example: A Sole Trader using the EPST Chart but the Client Type was INCORRECTLY set to ‘Other’.
Change the Business and save the Client Type then Recalculate the TB and Net Profit totals in posting maintenance.
This can be done through: Posting | Post File Maintanance | Entries | select the post file | Change | select “Recalculate Trial balance and net profit totals” | Select Ok
