How PAGS supports SEND education at Worthington Primary School

Worthington Primary School is an inclusive school in Leicestershire, currently serving over 60 pupils. Aiming to provide opportunities for high achievements for all young minds, the school uses a special educational needs platform, PAGS, to support their SEND students. A new IRIS partner, PAGS is a comprehensive SEND management system designed to help schools assess and support neurodiverse pupils, ensuring they reach their expected level of achievement. It assists SENCOs and teachers in planning, tracking progress, and securing necessary funding.

Highlights

  • Reduced paperwork and increased time efficiency
  • Personalised support from the PAGS team
  • A system that adapts and evolves according to your needs

A comprehensive all-in-one system

Pratisha Mistry, the school’s SENCO, switched to PAGS after using another system, that wasn’t offering the school enough. She explains, “I think PAGS offers more than other systems, and it’s nice to have everything all in one place. It is very effective when it comes to time savings, and it is also more cost-effective.”

The transition to PAGS has made a significant difference in the way the school manages its SEN processes. The system’s simple interface and centralised tools have drastically reduced paperwork and optimised tasks. Additionally, PAGS provides powerful assessments that help create tailored targets for SEN students, saving even more time. “You have amazing assessments on there, which help you create a target for your SEN child,” says Pratisha. Previously, when the school relied on another SEN management system, “everything was everywhere.” Now, with PAGS, everything is consolidated into one easy-to-use system, benefiting both teachers and support staff in their day-to-day work.

PAGS for efficient SEN management

Pratisha explains why the school chose PAGS: “PAGS really called out to me, especially with the assessment at the start. Being a SENCO where both budgets, and time, is very tight, it’s great to have everything all in one place.”

The platform’s assessments are particularly beneficial, as they help teachers and staff set clear targets for students. “Within assessments, there are lots of resources available, which are targeted for that specific objective, which makes it easier for staff to find everything in one place rather than going out and finding other resources or strategies.” PAGS has proven highly effective in managing time and resources at Worthington Primary, which is essential for their budget-conscious environment.

Positive experience with PAGS support

The school’s SENCO highlights the excellent support she’s received from the PAGS team, saying: “So far, my experience with PAGS has been amazing. I have had a lot of support from the team. Whenever I have a question, they’re right at the end of an email to help me.” Pratisha emphasises the personalised support provided, including helpful videos and Teams calls to explain features in detail. “Whether it’s a video or a Team call, the support team always ensure that any issues we have are resolved promptly. They’ve been amazing.”

A system that adapts to your needs

Pratisha highly recommends PAGS to other SENCOs, telling us, “Things like assessment, strategies, and resources are so important, and it’s a huge benefit to be able to find it all in one place. We’ve been able to save time, money and reduced the amount of paperwork we’re using.” She also highlights the strong support from the PAGS team, noting that they are open to feedback and adaptable to the specific needs of users. “The team is there to support you and they clearly value customer feedback. We would highly recommend PAGS to other SENCOs.
