Problem
When trying to produce reports user gets the error:
"Error in CReport::Sub IPB_SetPrinter: Error Number = 5 : Invalid procedure call or argument"
Resolution
This error can occur on networked installations of Payroll Business and Bureau Payroll when printer names are not consistent across workstations. If possible set the printer name on each PC to be exactly the same.
To resolve where this is not possible:
Go to “Reports” > “Report Manager” and for all the reports set the default printer as NONE:
This will allow the default printers on each machine to be used rather than the software trying to find a specific printer name that may not exist on this workstation.
