Problem
Trying to install or update payroll and user is getting error 70 permission denied
Resolution
The most likely cause of this would be insufficient user permissions to install to the chosen path.
Your network administrator should ensure all payroll user have full read/write access to the destination folder.
We have also had this error reported when trying to update the software while another user is still logged in.
Check all payroll workstations do not have payroll running. Also check in task manager to ensure the process has ended correctly.
If you press “Ctrl” + “Alt” and “Del” keys on your keyboard and then “Start Task Manager……“
Open the “Processes” tab, find any instance of Payroll.exe in the list, click to highlight and then click “End Process“.
Repeat on all payroll PCs and try the update again.
