Problem
What does the Missing Tag Screen mean in AutoMail? For example, when generating a Template for a Client, a Missing Tag Screen may be displayed
Resolution
When generating a template, a Missing Tag Screen may be displayed. This Missing Tag Screen informs you that there is a Tag which is being inserted in the template, but that Tag Information is not present in the Client Database. For example, You would like to include Client Address Information, including the Town and County. When generating a Letter for that particular Client, you may come up with a Missing Tag Screen, this means that the County is not present in the Client Database. On the Missing Tag Screen, the Tag Name will be displayed as LMCLCounty.
Following are the Options that can be carried out when the Missing Tag Screen is being displayed.
Omitting the details
Adding Text Value
“Use empty for everything else” option
Ommiting Details
If you do not want to enter any details, and let it omit the County. Leave the Text Value Field blank, Click on Ok, which should then generate the Letter for you.
Adding a text value
If you want it to display details, Enter details in the Text Value field. For example, If there is no County present in the Client Database, and you would like it to enter “Berkshire” in the Client Address that will be displayed in the Template. In the Text Field, enter “Berkshire”. Click on Ok to generate the Template which will then display the text entered in place of the missing Tag
Use empty for everything else
When the Missing Tag Screen is displayed, to stop any more Missing Tags being displayed you can tick the option Use Empty for everything else. Then Click on Ok to generate the Template
