Problem
The sort code is not showing in the repayment screen when I have chosen the bank required and I am getting the following validation error when trying to generate the return:- Validation error - Invalid data entry: Account Number The element 'BankAccountDetails' in namespace 'https://www.govtalk.gov.uk/taxation/SA/SA100/08-09/3' has invalid child element 'AccountNumber' in namespace 'https://www.govtalk.gov.uk/taxation/SA/SA100/08-09/3'. List of possible elements expected: 'BranchSortCode'in namespace 'https://www.govtalk.gov.uk/taxation/SA/SA100/08-09/3'
Resolution
Users are required to: Either – if the bank account shows in the interest section 1. Log on to IRIS Personal Tax and select the client. 2. Click Interest and select the relevant section 3. Double click on the account details 4. Click the magnifying glass at the end of the bank account name field 5. Click on the bank account then click Change. 6. Add the sort code then click OK then click Select. or If the bank account has just been added into the Repayment Area of the client then the following steps should be taken. 1. Log onto Iris Personal Tax and select the client 2. Go to Reliefs/Miscellaneous/Repayment Claim 3. Choose Select Bank Account and choose Bank 4. Highlight the bank and click on Change 5. Ensure that the Sort Code has been entered at the bottom and click OK 6. Make sure that this entry is highlighted and click Select 7. The sort code should now be showing in the repayment claim 8. If the sort code is not showing you will need to create a new Bank Entry as the current one is corrupt
