Kevin Dady

Executive Chairman

Kevin Dady is the Executive Chairman of IRIS Software Group and is responsible for IRIS’ acquisition and corporate development strategy, while also continuing his executive sponsorship of the company’s exciting next generation of products and services, which are due to be launched this year and beyond.

Kevin has more than twenty years of leadership experience, having held many executive roles across the UK. Most notably, his experience includes membership of Capita’s divisional executive board, spending 18 years with the business, including overseeing its Professional Services Division.

Elona Mortimer-Zhika

Chief Executive Officer

Elona is the Chief Executive Officer of IRIS Software Group and is responsible for all operations across the Group. Elona is dedicated to ensure IRIS is the most trusted provider of mission-critical software and services. She is very passionate about building winning teams that put our customers at the heart of everything we do, providing them with an exceptional experience and value-add solutions.

She joined IRIS in 2016 as Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2018, and then Chief Executive Officer in 2019. In 2020, Elona was appointed as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Purplebricks, the UK’s leading hybrid estate agency. Before joining IRIS, Elona held several senior leadership roles in Big 4 and PE-backed businesses, including Mavenir, Acision, Arthur Andersen and Deloitte.

Elona graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting and Economics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Awards include Top 50 Women in Accounting 2021; UK Tech Awards Business Woman of the Year 2020; Global Banking and Finance Business Woman of the Year UK 2020 and the Venus National Finance Professional of the Year 2018.

Elona is passionate about diversity and is a mentor in the F-Ten ICAEW programme supporting women in leadership positions.

Jim Dunham

President and General Manager

Jim Dunham is President and General Manager at IRIS Software Group, and is responsible for the strategic leadership across North America. He brings over 25 years’ experience leading enterprise software companies across the public and private sectors, with extensive SaaS market expertise.

Jim most recently served as President and General Manager of the TeamMate line of business for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Division where he was responsible for the global market strategy of expert solutions in audit and assurance.  

Jim has held senior executive positions at  Siebel Systems, SAP Labs, ServiceSource, Sybase and NASA consistently leading organisations to reach their full potential.  

Jim’s charter is to help IRIS meet the considerable demands of accountants and CPAs in North America for technology that empowers them to deliver impactful, value-add services to their clients.

Michael Cox

Chief Financial Officer

Michael is Chief Finance Officer at IRIS, having originally joined the business in 2016 heading the financial planning and commercial team.

Prior to joining IRIS, Michael held senior leadership roles across both Operational and Commercial Finance at Xura, a PE-backed leading digital communications services provider. During this time, he led international teams and helped take the business through two transformative sale processes under both PE- and US-listed environments. His most recent role was Vice President Corporate Finance.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant, having begun his career at PwC focused on technology and software clients before moving into industry.

Alan Hartwell

Group Chief Technology Officer

Alan Hartwell is Group Chief Technology Officer at IRIS Software Group and is responsible for evolving IRIS’ cloud software offering and further developing its product engineering capabilities to support its increasingly international expansion.  

Hartwell brings over 25 years’ senior level experience supporting and leading the acquisition, consolidation and integration of products and technologies.  

Hartwell previously served as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Software Director at Capita. Prior to Capita, he was Chief Technology Officer at XUBER, now part of DXC Inc. and has held multiple senior technology development and implementation, consulting and marketing roles at companies including Oracle and Exela Technologies.  

Alan’s charter is to help accelerate IRIS’ success and focus on the next stage of flexible, integrated cloud software innovation that enhances IRIS’ product suite to retain competitive advantage.

David Lockie

Chief Operating Officer

David Lockie is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for a wide range of functions, including Revenue, Customer Success, Systems Transformation and M&A Integration. He joined IRIS in 2018 as Chief Customer Officer, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge across various sectors and industries, including taking responsibility for software businesses across central and local government, education, financial services and payments.  

As a seasoned executive, David has a proven track-record for championing customers, providing an exceptional experience and driving innovation and improvement at every step of their journey.

Prior to IRIS, David enjoyed a varied tenure with Capita, most recently leading the Capita Software Services Division. David joined Capita as a result of the acquisition of Imasys, where he gained his initial software and payments knowledge and experience.

Paul Nagy

Chief Product Officer

Paul Nagy is Chief Product Officer at IRIS Software Group and is responsible for defining product strategy, product delivery and pricing across the global product portfolio. 

A seasoned cloud Chief Product Officer, Paul joins IRIS with over 28 years’ experience in the industry. With a proven track record, he has delivered new and innovative products and services across multiple industries, helping companies with highly complex business transformations, and transforming entire products portfolios to the cloud.  

Paul has held various senior-level roles at Omnitracs, CDK Global, ADP, Cobalt Group, Selectica, Apple, and NeXT Software. Most recently, he served as the Chief Product Officer for Omnitracs delivering Fleet Management solutions for compliance, safety, security, productivity, telematics and tracking. 

Paul is extremely passionate about the delivering highly intuitive customer experiences and building world-class software solutions.

Stephanie Kelly

Chief People Officer

Stephanie Kelly is Chief People Officer and is responsible for the full employee experience, including talent acquisition and strategy, learning and development, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion, and office environment.

As an international human resources executive, Steph brings a wealth of experience in implementing best HR practices, as well as acquisition due diligence and integration. These include working for leading technology and IT firms, including Symphony and Torex. She is also a trained executive coach, with a passion for identifying, developing and supporting high potentials and great leaders.

Chris Smith

Chief Commercial Officer

Chris is the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for the revenue execution strategy and delivery. He is a dynamic commercial leader accumulating a wealth of experience and a proven track record for international business development in several senior leadership roles across EMEA.

Immersed in the technology industry, Chris has over 20 years of business growth experience, developing new markets and territories, dedicating himself to a proactive hands-on approach, leading strategic growth and change evangelism.

His most recent tenure was with Harman International, an industry leading, highly acquisitive technology business where he was responsible for growing revenue, securing sustainability and creating jobs.

David Turner

Chief Marketing Officer

David Turner is Chief Marketing Officer at IRIS and is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the IRIS marketing strategy. His mission is to extend the company’s impressive market leadership position through influential thought leadership, powerful communications and meaningful customer engagement delivered by a digital-first marketing operation.  

David’s experience ranges from heading global marketing at accounting software company CODA to launching SaaS start-up FinancialForce. During his eight-year tenure at Unit4, David created a single global brand from 40 separate brands, and at cloud software vendor NetSuite, he built an EMEA-wide marketing team and substantially grew its customer base. Most recently at French AI fintech Sidetrade, David built an international marketing team to help the company scale globally.

Jim Murray

Chief Corporate Development Officer

Jim is responsible for developing IRIS Software Group’s acquisition strategy, as well as leading and delivering all M&A activity. Jim brings over 16 years’ of commercial and financial experience across the information and business services sectors in the US, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.

Prior to joining IRIS, Jim led Experian’s corporate development activities across the UK&I and EMEA regions.

Jim is a Chartered Accountant, having originally started his career with PwC; he has a Masters in Engineering from Cambridge University and has previously held the role of Registered Banking Representative in the US.

Jim Scott

Managing Director, Accountancy

Jim Scott is the Managing Director (MD) for Accountancy and is responsible for driving forward IRIS’ evolution, leading the accountancy offering and focusing on meeting the needs of customers. 

Prior to joining IRIS, Jim worked at Sage for 20 years in both operational and strategic roles, building partnerships with accountants and the business community to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes

This included leading Sage’s Accountancy division, creating and executing a European-wide strategy for its small business audience and delivering its first global partner programme. More recently, he has advised several businesses across a variety of markets including technology, defining their strategies and implementation plans, and is a mentor for the NatWest Accelerator programme.

Simon Freeman

Managing Director, Education

Simon is the Managing Director (MD) for Education and is responsible for driving forward IRIS’ evolution, leading the education offering and focusing on meeting the needs of senior leadership teams in Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) and independent schools.

Prior to IRIS, Simon began his career as an engineer, quickly taking on strategic roles across BT, moving around its leadership programme, including living in India whilst focusing on delivering service for customers worldwide. He later moved to services specialist Serco where he was COO of the Ministry of Defence’s Business Services division.

Most recently he was the MD of Capita’s local government business, where his role was to reshape the strategy and transform the business to enable local government clients to deliver effectively for the many hundreds of thousands of residents they served.
