Enterprise capability
Group accounts production, built into your workflow
For practices managing multi-entity clients, group accounts production has typically meant working outside your core platform – introducing additional systems, fragmenting workflows and increasing review overhead.
IRIS Elements Enterprise now supports FRS 102 and IFRS group accounts production within your existing accounts workflow. Define your group structure, consolidate trial balances, build the report with pre-built group-specific notes and disclosures, and file to Companies House – all without leaving the platform. No additional licence cost.

-
Yes. IRIS Elements Accounts Production Enterprise supports statutory group accounts production, including parent–subsidiary structures and consolidation workflows for both FRS 102 and IFRS reporting standards. Group accounts are produced within the same platform you use for single-entity work, with pre-built group-specific notes and disclosures and iXBRL tagging to FRC taxonomy. No separate tools or manual processes are needed.
-
Group accounts production is available exclusively on the IRIS Elements Accounts Production Enterprise plan, with no additional licence cost. It is designed for practices that manage multi-entity clients requiring consolidated statutory accounts. If you are on the Essentials or Professional plan and need group accounts capability, contact us to discuss upgrading to Enterprise.
-
Yes. IRIS Elements Enterprise enables you to produce group accounts within a controlled, software-driven workflow rather than relying on manual spreadsheet consolidation. Trial balances are consolidated automatically, an issue log flags errors before approval, and the approval workflow ensures all undertakings are finalised before group sign-off. This is designed to reduce the risk of errors and cut review time.
-
IRIS Elements Enterprise supports sub-groups up to three levels deep, covering real-world holding structures. You can include or exclude individual undertakings for flexible partial consolidation. Group periods are created automatically when the parent’s standard period is set up, so there is no manual configuration required to get started.
-
No. Group accounts production is included in the IRIS Elements Accounts Production Enterprise plan with no additional licence cost. Any practice on the Enterprise plan can produce group accounts for as many group clients as they need without incurring additional charges.
-
IRIS Elements Accounts Production shares client data and trial balance information with IRIS Elements Tax, reducing duplicate data entry and improving accuracy. For companies, accounts are generated in iXBRL format and attached to the CT600. This integration extends to group entities – accounts produced at group level generate iXBRL-tagged output ready for filing. You can submit to Companies House and share with HMRC Tax directly from the platform.
-
Yes. IRIS Elements includes an approval workflow that updates the status of accounts at each stage of preparation. For group accounts on the Enterprise plan, the workflow ensures all undertakings within the group are finalised before group sign-off. You can also send completed accounts to OpenSpace for client review and approval using a process your clients are already familiar with.
-
IRIS Elements flags missing or incomplete data when you run reports, such as the average number of employees, ensuring accounts are submitted successfully to Companies House first time. For group accounts, an issue log highlights errors before approval so the preparer can resolve them within the workflow rather than at the point of filing.
-
Yes. On the Professional and Enterprise plans, you can post adjustments to complete the final trial balance after importing your source data. For group accounts, revision by supplementary note is also supported, preserving the original figures while recording corrections – giving you a clear audit trail of changes made during the consolidation process.
-
You can trial the Accounts Production Essentials plan free for 30 days. During the trial you can add users, import client data, and test the accounts production functionality. After 30 days, the trial expires with no charge. You can trial multiple IRIS Elements products at the same time, but each product can only be trialled once. For Professional or Enterprise features, book a demo with our team.
-
For Accounts Production Essentials and Professional with up to 100 clients, you can create an account and buy online. For Enterprise – which includes group accounts, charities, and full FRS 102 – contact our team to discuss pricing and setup. There is no additional licence cost on the Enterprise plan.
