First Earnie customer conference helps attendees get the most out of their payroll

Thursday 18th January saw Earnie, part of IRIS Software Group, hold its first ever customer conference at Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire. Over 150 payroll professionals attended the event, which aimed to educate attendees on upcoming legislation, provide software updates and tips and enable them to network with other payroll professionals.

Guest speakers included: John Bullen from HMRC, who provided attendees with an update on Real Time Information (RTI); Karen Thomson from Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), who spoke about the importance of payroll and raising the function’s profile across businesses; and Andrew Fleming from the Pensions Regulator, who gave an overview of pension auto-enrolment and how to prepare for it.

The event also featured a number of business software providers including Concur, P11d Organiser, IRIS Exchequer, Protime, Sapphire and Timeware.

Alyson Walker, from Sonoco Industrial Products, said she found the conference was “very enlightening,” allowing her to leave with “much more information” than she expected to receive.

During the conference Mark Paraskeva, CEO of IRIS SME Division, talked about the strategy and vision for payroll products, including exciting new developments coming soon from IRIS Software Group.

Attendees were given a range of software updates and tips, with the aim being to help them make the most out of their Earnie payroll software and optimise their payroll operations.
