IRIS Software Group crowned a winner at the Covid Response Awards 2021
IRIS Software Group (IRIS) has won the ‘Best Covid-19 Response Involving Finance / Professional Services’ category at the Covid Response Awards – which paid tribute to companies that have demonstrated resilience, resourcefulness and tenacity in response to the pandemic.
As the world started to go into lockdown in March 2020, IRIS quickly moved over 1,500 employees from its offices in the UK, US, Canada and India to homeworking within ten days. This involved relocating equipment and rolling out cloud telephony to customer facing employees.
At every step, the focus was to keep employees safe, motivated and engaged. Key initiatives included:
- The ‘Acts of Kindness’ campaign highlighting the charitable work of employees through the pandemic
- The ‘My Working from Home Companion’ competition encouraging employees to send in pictures of their pets with wellbeing prizes
- Continuation of the IRIS IMPACT Awards celebrating employees who’ve gone above and beyond
- Continuation of the Made in IRIS CEO Award encouraging employees to put forward entrepreneurial ideas, with a £25,000 cash prize for the winner
IRIS also maintained its strong customer focus, efficiently managing its bureau payrolls, including end of tax year compliance and updating payroll solutions to accommodate emergency government legislation – including furlough and sickness benefits – in tight timescales. In addition, it also conducted a customer survey to understand barriers and concerns and provide further guidance and expertise through its Look Forward Hub.
IRIS continues to be a more flexible employer, focusing on major trends, change in working patterns and the effects to improve its business for customers and staff.
