15 March 2017: Making Tax Digital (MTD) is a key part of the government’s plans to make it easier for individuals and businesses to get their tax right and keep on top of their affairs – meaning the end of the annual tax return for millions. These sweeping changes will become legislation for businesses with a turnover in excess of the VAT threshold in 2018 yet there remains widespread confusion on the requirements to comply with this legislation.
To ensure the industry is fully prepared, IRIS is hosting a seminar for accountants to learn about the requirements of MTD and to gain practical advice on how best to take advantage of the changing accountancy landscape. The seminar will provide an opportunity to network with other accountants and gain insight into how others are addressing the challenge.
Sion Lewis, CEO Accountancy Division at IRIS Software, says,
“MTD is just around the corner and it is vital that accountants act now to ensure they are ready for the change in April 2018. We are dedicated to fully preparing accountants for digitalisation and the roadshows are designed to educate and advise accountants on all MTD challenges, in order to ensure a smooth transition for them and their clients.”
For all accountants wishing to attend the seminar, visit the MTD roadshow website to register: https://www.ukdigitaltax.com/events/roadshows/
