Problem
When I start GP Payroll the system is loading me into the wrong tax year.
Resolution
This is caused by your anti-virus/security software recognising the file Paywin.exe as malicious.
To resolve, the desktop short-cut needs to be redirected back to the route payroll folder.
Right click on the short-cut and select “Properties”
The field “Target” should read – C:\payroll\paywin.exe
The field “Start in” should read – C:\payroll
Type these two values into the boxes and click “Apply” and “OK”
Next, download and run the latest update for GP Payroll.
Click here to download the latest version.
Once the update is complete, re start your PC and payroll will open correctly.
