Resolution

Users may encounter the following error message when submitting ABR accounts to Companies House.

Following a recent update, starting today (13/10/20) Companies House will be validating the “average number of employees” note on all electronic submissions of statutory accounts. The recent 20.3 Autumn release includes an iXBRL validation check to remind you of this requirement. If you have not completed the data screens for average number of employees then we have been advised that electronically submitted accounts will be rejected.

We are aware of an issue where users encounter the error message when the data screens for average number of employees are completed. This is due to the additional replacement note added.

The workaround for this issue is to untick the additional replacement note from within the following data screen below and then validate and finalise the accounts again by running the IXBRL report

edit | data screens | notes to financial statements | profit and loss items | staff costs | additional replacement note
