When trying to backup IRIS SQL using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (or Management Studio Express) the following message can be shown:

Resolution

This kind of message can be caused by the SQL Services not being started or running correctly. Stopping then starting all SQL Services should resolve the issue.
