Problem

Please ensure you install version 16.2 prior to any submissions made after midnight from 30th June. Companies House shut down their server on 29th June at midnight to update it ready to process the new forms including CS01. Any transactions sent on or after 30th June with the incorrect form or fee will be rejected. Version 16.2 is available to download which allows you to submit the new forms. During the Companies House downtime any submissions will be QUEUED. These queued submissions will be sent through to Companies House internal systems for processing late on 30th June. As a result, there were delays in processing during this period.

Resolution

Please note if you receive any of the following error messages, they will have occurred due to the following reasons: Companies House error messages: ERROR MESSAGE ‘8023 EF DOCUMENTS NOT FOUND This message will occur when users have queried the status too soon after the submission. Please be assured, the submission will go through but will just take some time processing whilst the Companies House servers are under high load. You can continue to check your submission status by selecting Posting | Posting Entry Status| Submission Status| select – Pending | Query status Either of the following status’s will appear: Accepted – No further action required. Accounts have been received and accepted by Companies House Sent – Accounts have been sent to Companies House and in the queue Pending – Accounts have been sent and received and are currently pending Rejected – Users will need to check the rejected error reasons and contact Companies House. ERROR MESSAGE ‘ ‘ERROR 9999’ will appear due to one of the below reasons: 1.This is due to Companies House servers under high load. 2.If the Annual Return AR01 date is prior to 30 June2016, please regenerate the AR01 form after updating to Version 16.2. 3.Some Annual Returns AR01 submissions are failing validation. This is because they contain ‘care of’. These will get a reject code of ‘9999’. The temporary workaround is to remove the term. Companies House are expecting to deploy a fix soon. 4. CS01 Rejections Companies House were originally unable to accept form CS01 in a number of situations where multiple PSC statements existed during the confirmation period. They have now removed this restriction, however this will still apply within IRIS until the next release version 16.3, due in October 2016. In the meantime if you do encounter this validation it is possible to generate multiple CS01s.
