Problem

Clients have advised that at times they have created the HMRC Copy of the IXBRL Accounts but these accounts are not being picked up and are getting the follwing message: ''Page 1 of the CT600 indicates that accounts and computations are attached so you must attach the accounts to this return. If you do not want to attach accounts go to Data Entry | Summary and amend the data.''

Resolution

Users are advised that this could be due to the fact that there is a hyphen in their name(s) and they would need to: 1 either remove the hyphen as this is used as a delimiter for doing searches or 2 save the file externally when creating the HMRC copy and then attach the accounts in the Electronic Tax Return screen by choosing Select External in the Accounts Area. If the above is not the case but you are selecting Dormant Accounts then you will need to: 1 Then will be included in the Communications Tab and you should be able to pick them up from there or 2 save the file externally when creating the HMRC copy and then attach the accounts in the Electronic Tax Return screen by choosing Select External in the Accounts Area. If neither of the above two apply please chech that the system has been selected to attach accounts in PDF format: 1) Go to Data Entry | Summary. 2) Either untick the box ‘Accounts attached in PDF format’, 3) Or make sure the box Accounts ‘For Return Period’ is ticked, indicating accounts will be attached to the return.
