Problem

Nominal ledger and Trial Balance do not agree

Resolution

To resolve this you can create a new post file for the same period and import postings across.

Posting / Post file maintenance /Entries – select the accounting period and new, and call it test.

Then go into that test file, click on posting tab at the top and then post. You will see a blank posting screen, above that on the top left go to Advanced / import from posting entry. You do not need to select a map, and for document type select 11 for journals.

Once all postings are across, you can see if it now balances . You can then rename the test file and remove the original file via posting / post file maintenance / entries / change.
