Problem
When starting payroll user gets the error:
error too many transactions nested - error 3003
Resolution
Unfortunately the log file for this company needs to be recreated.
Each company had two data files, a data and a log file. So company id number 1 would have 0001Data.mdb and 0001Log.mdb. By default these are held in the program folder, right click on your payroll shortcut and select “Properties” followed by “Open File Location” on the pop up window to find the program folder.
For the affected company find and rename the log.mdb file (for example to 0001Log.old). Restart payroll and it will start correctly. This process will create a fresh, empty, copy of the log file.
NOTE: The log file doesn’t contain payroll data, it is the record of operator actions for the company. Renaming this file will not cause you loose any work.
