Problem

User gets one of the following errors:

  • DBISAM Engine Error #9217 Error reading from the table or backup file “Cashbook”

  • DBISAM Engine Error #8961 Header information corrupt in table “Master”

Resolution

This error can occur when GP Accounts hasn’t been shut down correctly.

To rectify you will need to run a repair of the database:

Make sure your GP Accounts software is closed and also any other PC’s that are connected to the data table are also closed.

Click the Start button on your PC and then go to “Programs“> “IRIS GP Accounts“> “IRIS GP Accounts Rescue“.

Click on the “Repair the GP Accounts Database” option, then click “Repair the Database“:

Once the Repair has finished you can close out of the Rescue Screens and Re-Open your GP Accounts.
