- Problem
An employee becomes a partner mid year.
- Resolution
-
When an employee becomes a partner during the tax year (ie. they have received payments as a regular employee from the practice) the original (normal employee) record needs to be set as a leaver and a new employee record created for them to continue on as a partner.
If the employee staff type has been changed to 7) Doctor-Partner during the tax year this will cause problems.
To correct change the employee back to their original staff type and delete the record of a single payslip (using the Correct Errors option) for every payment made as a Partner.
The employee must be made a Leaver and set up as a new employee as type 7.
