- Problem
- In some cases HMRC are saying that the Tax Return submitted by our users was an amended return and they are requesting that the user now submit the original return to them.
- Resolution
- Iris has been designed to provide a message to clients advising that they have chosen an amended return but the original return has not been sent and therefore you would have to confirm that you do indeed require to send an amended return. If you then get a letter requesting an original return to be sent you will need to do the following:- 1. Login into Personal Tax and Select the relevant client. 2. Go to Reports/Transmit Internet Return. 3. Find the relevant submission that was sent as an amended return and right click and select Reset Status. 4. The software will ask you to confirm that you require to Reset the Status, please choose Yes. 5. Then exit out of the Transmit Internet Return Screen and run an original return choosing New. 5. Then go back into the Transmit Internet Return Screen and submit the return.
