Problem
When checking for updates in the Licence Details screen the message "Unable to contact the webserver, please check your internet connection" is produced.
Resolution

Unable to contact the webserver, please check your internet connection

If you are receiving this message please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Ensure your Date and Time settings have the Time Zone set to UTC +00:00

In Internet Options go to the Security tab, navigate to Trusted Sites and then click Sites, adding the following URLs to the list:
https://licensing.project-aurora.co.uk/
https://iris.co.uk/
https://portal.irisas.co.uk/

If Anti-Virus software is present, disable it temporarily and try to check for updates. Successful licence updates with the AV disaled means you must exclude the above URL’s in the AV software.

IRIS requires port 443 to connect to the IRIS Web Licence Service.
Port 443 must be enabled and the connection allowed in your Firewall/Proxy Server.

If you have completed the troubleshooting above and still receive the message, please send through the licencing.log file from C:\IRIS\Data\Logs to the IAS support team at support.mail@iris.co.uk.
