Introduction
A statement is a document sent to a client to display the debt amount due. For example, to list invoices that a client has not paid. This document can be produced in the Fees Ledger based upon the fees postings.
Fees Account Display Statement
When the statement is run from the Enquiry | Account details screen it displays all recent items that cover 1 month. Therefore the items displayed on the statement, start from the beginning or the previous month which potentially means that the statement may cover up to one month and 30 days. This default cannot be changed. See section 3. ‘Bulk statements’ for more options on running statements.
To run a statement from, the Fees Account Display screen:
Log on to IRIS Fees from the IRIS Main Menu
Click on Enquiries | Account details
Enter the Client details
Click on the Print button, select Statements .
Note: The ageing is selected from the Options set in Fees ledger
To change/view these:
Log on to IRIS Fees from the IRIS Main Menu as Master
Click on Options | Documents
Documents screen will be displayed, click on the Statement Ageing button to vie/change details.
Bulk Statements
Using Bulk Statements option means that you can run a statement for more than one client and you can run the statement in a number of different ways.
To make the bulk statement option identical to the “Fees Account display” statement, you need to ensure the options are ticked as below:
Log on to IRIS Fees from the IRIS Main Menu
Click on Reports |Client documents | Statement
Bulk Statements Screen will be displayed,
a. Set the Statement type to “Recent Items”
b. Set the Periods covered to “1” Month
To make a more specific selection when running the statements, use the Bulk statement option
Log on to IRIS Fees from the IRIS Main Menu
Click on Reports |Client documents | Statements
Bulk Statements Screen will be displayed, make the relevant selections
