Problem
I have attached a client to the wrong Chart of Accounts and made Postings. When I select Edit | Swap Chart the following error occurs
Resolution
If Postings or Client specific data eg Account Descrption etc has been entered it is not possible to simply Swap the Chart of Accounts.
Click Details on the screen shown above to display Client specific details for the current chart type.
Information will need to be deleted. Before deleting any data it is advised to take a backup of your data. Continue with Caution.
If Postings have been made to the correct account codes but the wrong Chart of Accounts has been selected you can take an extract before proceeding. Please refer to KB IAS-11719 for further details on extracting client data.
Remove the items listed and once all the items have been removed click Edit | Swap Chart to display a list of Account Charts.
Select the correct chart and press OK to confirm.
Replace the data extract taken above. Please refer to KB IAS-11719 for further details on replacing extracted client data.
