Problem
Following detailed reviews and communications it has been confirmed that HMRC have made further errors within the 2016/17 tax calculation for individuals not resolved in v17.1.1 and later
Resolution
HMRC updated their tax calculation on 23rd October 2017. The IRIS Service Pack version 17.3.1 contains updates to the tax calculation so that it matches the HMRC version. There are some scenarios that the HMRC system will still not deal with correctly and so we have added warnings into the products to try and highlight these scenarios. We recommend that all tax calculations be checked and if the submission online is rejected or if the product warns you that the Return cannot be sent online due to an HMRC restriction, the Return will need to be sent by post with a reasonable excuse claim, which can be found here
