Problem

When submitting a CT return some users have reported the following error when filing for a company that is exempt from the ixbrl rules for accounts, such as a charity or club.

Resolution

Error No. 3001 – Type: Business
The submission of this document has failed due to department specific business logic in the Body tag
RaisedBy: ChRIS
Number: 1604
Text: We are unable to accept the attachment with the file name’xxxxx.pdf’ Please delete the attachment and replace with an acceptable file type.
Location: Computation

HMRC do not allow any CT600 submissions with PDF computations (although PDF accounts are allowed), to be submitted online. Users will need to send iXBRL computations.

The software can automatically create iXBRL computations. Therefore users will need to remove the FBI Status from the rejected CT return. Then view the CT600 return on screen. On page 2, ensure there is a tick in the box, stating that ixbrl computations are being attached. Next ensure the profit adjustment has not been disabled at box 155. Complete the relevant details in the notepad at box 155. The CT return can now be re-filed.
