There is a button to Retrieve HMRC Data on page TR2, what does this do?
Resolution
New interfaces between HMRC and software providers are being made available as a first step towards Making Tax Digital (MTD) so it is now possible to import certain items of data from the records held at HMRC, providing there is a 64-8 in place for the client. The data items available at present are:
Individual Benefits
Individual Employment
Individual Income
Individual Tax
Marriage Allowance
National Insurance
The relevant sections of the tax return will be populated e.g. employment pages, page TR3 for income from UK pensions and other state benefits, and the backing schedule for Class 1 and Class 2 NIC in the Calculation screen.
