Problem
When preparing FBI files the following validation appears: Validation of the XML has failed for the following reason(s): Error in XML: The MinInclusive constraint failed. Tag is 'CapitalAllowances' [EndElement]. Line 132, position 76. This will be triggered by a negative value appearing in the Capital Allowances column on page 8 of the CT600. Negative values are not permitted by HMRC.
Resolution

If the negative value has been manually entered this will need to be amended.  At the time of writing, June 2019, there is an issue in the software which is populating a negative value in box 705 on certain returns.  This occurs when a balancing charge has been generated on the main pool and there is also an allowance(s) of some sort being claimed on non-pooled assets.  In this scenario the section on page 8 will need to be completed manually by ticking the box at the top of the page.

PLEASE NOTE: This issue was corrected in version 19.2148-0 and later.  The download may be found here https://www.iris.co.uk/support/ptp-software-support/download-software-2/downloads/.
