Problem

When trying to save the details of a new employee users gets the error:

Warning Employee Code not unique across multiple users users!

Resolution

This error indicates that, previously, a user has tried to create a new employee and the software has been closed down before it’s been saved, possibly due to a crash, loss of network connection (if on a networked set up) or user error.

This causes partially complete employee data to be retained in the database which then causes the error listed here when a user next tries to save a new employee.

In order to correct this please contact our support team, the partially completed data needs to be removed directly from the data file. Unfortunately, this is not something that could be done from either payroll or admin login options in payroll.
