More calls for businesses to start planning now for auto enrolment
Over half (55%) of employers that have already begun complying with auto enrolment list planning as early as possible as their top tip, according to a recent survey.
The Employee Benefits/Capita Pensions Research 2013 surveyed employers on a range of different topics surrounding workplace pensions and auto enrolment, with one part focussing on advice for employers who were yet to reach their staging date.
55% of respondents said that planning as early as possible was the main piece of advice they would give to smaller employers. Another 20% said that employers needed to make sure that they had discussed auto enrolment with their payroll provider and both were clear about their responsibilities.
